| Twisted and Calendered
Twisted and calendered cross-section of spun Aramid fiber encapsulated in Babbitt Lead foil. Each strand of spun Aramid fiber is thoroughly lubricated prior to encapsulation, the individual strands are then twisted and calendered to size. This unusual construction creates a superior non-asbestos, high pressure pump packing, the strand lubrications ensures an even dispersion of lubricant throughout the entire cross-section, preventing core collapse associated with dry core types. |
